metformin

given metformin and not take it are there problems

obviously you were given metformin to help control your diabetes...  guess it all depends on what kind of quality of life you want in the long run.

Wow!  Once again, and totally, I agree with "often"
Hey, "catsrule"....  I'm not quite sure what your post is even about, but as 'often' replied, if you were given (I am *assuming* that means *prescribed* by a medical professional) metformin, then, yes, you should be taking it....  unless you are regularly testing your own blood glucose several times a day and they are normal *and* you have confirmed that with a doc and an A1C test.

Let us know your situation and how you were "given" Metformin and someone here might be able to offer more specific feedback.

Obviously you are already diagnosed. Metformin is the best medications for freshly diagnosed diabetics and it will help you to conrol your blood sugar- side effect is loss of weight - you should start taking it -you will be surprised at the good results.
