New to glucose testing--couple of questions

I'm I guess what would now be called "prediabetic."  Fasting BG usually around 100 or a little over.  I just bought a new Bayer Contour tester and started playing using it and trying to see my patterns.  When I got it two days ago, I did two pricks from forearm.  It had been probably 7 hours since I'd eaten anything or drunk anything other than maybe diet soda and water.  The two tests just an inch and a minute apart came back a 103 and a 98, which I thought probably accurate.  Then yesterday morning I ate some cantelope, an orange, two pieces of jelly toast (grape jelly--the real stuff with high fructose CS), an egg and turkey bacon sandwich and milk.  About an hour and 15 minutes later, a prick showed only 95 mg/dl.  Then after another hour I took 10 more measurements from my palm and forearm.  They ranged from 126 down to 70!  Here are the readings around 2-2.5 hours after eating the aforementioned breakfast: 95,126,99,121,114,110,70,106,91,109,103.  These taken all within minutes of each other.  What gives?  Why such variation?  I'm very careful to do the procedure correctly, trying my best not to touch the business ends of the strips, having dry clean skin, etc.  Any input appreciated.  I'm sure some of you are veteran pros with this.

The general drill is to take bloods from fingersticks only.

Also, a finger stick is much more accurate than a forearm test, as it takes longer for the blood sugar in the forearm (less blood flow), to reflect the actual blood sugar than the fingers.  So testing post eating blood sugars do recommend fingers.

BG meters are 80% accurate  and comparing blood from different places.  Blood is not exactly homogeneous.
