PreDiabetes

I see a psychiatrist and am on multiple medications(GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder and Bipolar2). My psychiatrist has me get a blood work up every year and calls me if he sees something that is not normal. I don’t go to a GP, and just forget about it since he never calls me.  I had a work up  done in November and never looked at results and today I was looking at them online out of curiosity. My glucose levels are as follows over last few years. 2019 - 118, 2020 - 119, and Nov 2021 - 132.
My question is should I see a Doctor about the numbers since they are above the normal and have gotten higher this year? My mother has Type 2 Diabetes.

I would rather not go to the Doctor unless it is recommended, but I saw articles about pre-diabetes and was slightly concerned.

I agree with Sara.   Its best to contact your doctor for medical questions concerns   If your physician dismisses or  otherwise refuses to respond  to your queries it may be time to look for a different medical p;rofesdsional.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Thanks for the question. All concerns such as this are best to discuss with your physician for clarification.  If you don't go to a GP, maybe it is time to start as that can be really beneficial to track your health. Did you get the blood draw after fasting?  That would make a difference. https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/guide/normal-blood-sugar-levels-chart-adults  This article has information related to charting of glucose numbers.  If you were fasting, I think it's time to have an evaluation by your physician to look into your glucose numbers. If you were not and it was before a meal, then they would be close to normal.  so, that info would be helpful for further discussion.
