Two hours number higher than one hour

Hi I am new here.

I was diagnosed with Digestional diabetes last year.  Now my baby is one year old.  Today I ate about 50 grams of carbs (white flour) and I tested one hour after meal, it was 139, however, two hours it went up to 149.  I am just stunned.  Why my two hour number is higher one hour number?

Thanks very much.

Thanks for your reply.  I did not do the test I was very afraid to find out the true.  However, I did test myself here and there until mid April this year and everything seemed OK.  This morning my fasting was 90 and two hours after breakfast was 120, I ate two slice of bread each with 15 gram card and 6 fiber so I believe it was minimum.  5 mins later after I went to the bathroom and washed my hand and tested again it was 110.  The number was high.  I am just so scared I think I need to do the fasting and AC1.  Thanks again.

Have you recently been retested by your doctor? If you drank a 75 gram glucose drink - for an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test [OGTT] - your preferred 2 hour maximum level is expected to be <140 mg/dl [< = less than]. However, some labs, and some doctors, use <180 mg/dl as the maximum range. Talk with your doctor and get properly tested - Fasting, OGTT and A1c tests. Lastly, try to restrict your consumption of bad carbs.
