Be careful of the sugar free chocolate/candies, they contain a sweetener (forgot the name, aspertame?)that can be very harsh to the stomach. I found that fruit (as you know, the recommended serving) works for my sweet tooth.

Watch out for "Sugar Free"  most sugar free candies have almost the same carbs as the regular sugar candies.

My caramel treats are 5 gr of sugar  and the "sugar free" are 4 gr of carbs :0)
why?  They use a starch (carb) as a thickener to make up for the loss of sugar.

Try eating the dark chocolate (60 - 80% cacao).  This is so rich and strong that you may be satisfied with less, and it has less sugar.

Your chocolate craving may be caused by several different causes . One you may be craving caffeine.  Two there may be a mineral deficiency.   Main ingredient in chocolate is cocoa aka cacao.  Either way you pronounce it its high in Theobromine.  This is a CNS Stimulant.  Does your mood lift any when eating chocolate  It may be emotional eating . BTW Dark chocolate is loaded with anti-oxidants.  "Crazy Chocolate cravings"  Unsure what precisely that means.  Please explain.  Thanks.
