My Fasting Sugar level was between 115 to 120 last week...Shall i go to doctor and take medicines or i shall try to lower it down by exercise and nutritious food....?
Is there anything in the book that's different than what I have posted? I have not read the book but have read, listened and watched the tangible items on the deathtodiabetes web site which includes the basic control modules as proper nutrition, daily exercise, and proper body weight.
To WaveRider..
Shall i follow the tips given in the book by Dewayne....?
DeWayne is a miracle and heed his words
* You can figure out if you're dying too fast
* You can slow down how fast you're dying
The most important thing is testing
* Preprandial - before each meal. This will provide a baseline
measurement.
* Postprandial - 2-3 hours after each meal. Measure against
preprandial. This will inform you how the foods you ate
affected your glucose levels.
* Bedtime - to measure against your morning fasting level
Every 3-6 months get an A1c [HgbA1c, HA1c] test.
WaveRider...i have read this in a book called 'death to diabetes' by Dewayne McCulley....so i got worried..But definitely i will try to follow the advice given by Super Sally and WaveRider....
thank you friends....
abhimanyu64 - What you have read are nonfactual articles because they leave out race, gender, sex, age, and eAG [estimated Average Glucose], and daily habitual living conditions. I have yet to see an article from research hospitals claiming shortened life span with a diabetic who controlled and managed their glucose levels. No studied needed for those who ignore this disease and let their glucose levels progress. Their life span will be shortened.
You need to understand not everything on the internet is true or based upon factual evidence. When you see an article that mentions a study or studies or a research you need to see if they name them or provide a link to the clinical trial/study/research, not a link to another magazine/newspaper/iNet article. Look at the URL to see who is reporting the findings, then look for what was first mentioned.
As far as passing diabetes onto your children, that depends on you. Usually children of type 2 diabetes parent/s do not get their parent/s diabetic gene but pick up the parent/s bad habits. It is up to you make lifestyle changes and educate your children when of age.
Re-read, understand, and apply what was explained to you in your previous thread

Thanx alot for your kind reply...iam Type 2 diabetes...Iam not taking any medicine and trying to control it by diet, exercise and weight management. My father is also type 2 diabetic..Is it sure that my children will be diabetic or its just probability?..
Hello,
if you manage your diabetes very well (diet, exercise, weight management, meds, as required) then your lifespan is no different from any other person.
Depending what type of diabetes you have and your family history, children may have a slightly higher risk of diabetes. But mostly this can be addressed and prevented / delayed by healthy lifestyle.
What type of diabetes do you have? Anyway, type 1 or type 2, they are both manageable. And As I said, when managed well will not affect your lifespan.
Please reply my friends to my query.......
