I have been monitoring my glucose levels for a few days now and was wondering when to go to my doctor. A little history. I am high risk for type II based on family history, two pregnancies with gestational diabetes and I am about 50 lbs overweight. I was also diagnosed with hypoglycemia at 16 (I'm now 32) On Monday I was feeling foggy, trembly and weak so I decided to check my glucose to see how low I was. I was actually at 187. I decided to start the traditional 2 hours after meals checks and my numbers were as follows...12:30 p.m. = 140 (and hour later I was feeling weird so I checked it again and it was 62) then at 2:25 it was 153 at 8:50 it wass 97. Tuesday my fasting was 71, 10:30 a.m. = 141 2 p.m = 121 and 10:30 p.m. = 110. Now today my fasting ws 105 and 10:30 a.m. = 156.
I have tried adjusting my meals and started eating the three small meals for the past few days and it doesn't seem to be helping. My question is do these numbers indicate a problem and when should I seek medical attention?
Thank you,
Jennifer
