Why blood sugar high in morning

At 3 am my test results are the same as when I go to bed.  At 6 am they are almost always between 150 and 180.
Is there a better way to take meds to stop this?
I take glyburide.  2 in am 2 in pm.5mg each tab
I have no insurance and doc won't see me unless I can pay up front.  I have had thyroidectomy due to cancer 30+ years ago and take the meds at 6am.    I also have bladder cancer but no meds for that.
(Hanford nuclear emissions during the late 40's and early 50's - CDC said they were sorry hahah)  Trying to  figure this out on own.  Live on farm -- get exercise that way;  watch food intake closely.  Last time I was seen by doc she said I was managing well.

You're welcome Victoria. Good luck in finding decent low priced health care. Don't know if you qualify but Medicaid and Medicare are options worth looking into.

I followed your suggestions .. no carbs at dinner and snacked on some raw veggies a couple hours before bed.  My reading was 110 this morning.  THANK YOU!

Thank you so much!  That helped a great deal - especially relieved stress!
I enjoy reading your posts -always informative and helpful.

The free clinics in our area are primarily for migrants folks or urgent care.
Local hospital referred me to a charity place where I have to go in and make a case for need.  So far I have been able to save enough money to get 6 month blood tests and keep prescription flowing.  Will check net though see if anything new has popped up.

Thanks again.

Pretty much explains your elevated morning glucose. Since you have access to the iNet, try searching for 'free clinics' or 'free heath care' in your area.
