reactive hypoglycemia

I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia and was wondering if internal tremors or weakness in extremities was a symptom? I do have episodes where I get visible tremors in the hands and cold sweats but those symptoms usually do not come with this weakness I am feeling. I do notice that when I eat something, the weakness goes away.

with hypoclycemia you need to eat more frequent snacks during the day so blood sugars do not drop such as snacking on string cheese, cheese and crackers, etc. Weakness probably is because your sugar is too low. Do you have a meter to check your blood sugars when you are feeling this way? If not I would ask your DR for a meter esp with Hypoglycemnia..I get that way with my Diabetes when my sugar drops.

hi,

yes internal tremors and weakness can be a sign of hypoglycemia.

Best way to address this is to avoid refined carbohydrates and sugars, and eat complex slowly digestable carbohydrates combined with fat and protein to help keep blood sugars steady.

Eat small regular meals.
