nutrients in the blood

my mum has been told she has WAY to many nutrients in her blood and she has been diagnosed with diabetes ive tried to look it up on the internet but came up with zilch. the dr wont tell her what it is cos its rare or something like that and she's getting worried and she also has really high blood pressure problems

i actually got it wrong it was gamma proteins in the blood and the doctor said he didnt want to say cos it was rare or he didnt want to worry her. i thought GP's had to tell you whats wrong?
