15 year old on 1200 calorie diet for 8 months and wants to eat normally again?

I'm a 15 year old female, and for the past 8 months I have been on a restrictive diet of about 1100 - 1200 calories. I know this was a completely dumb and stupid thing to do, and now that I've become aware of my mistakes I want to fix it. I should be eating at about 1800/2000 calories a day and I'm definitely not vigorously active but I'm also most certainly not sedentary either. I lost a lot of weight in the past few months, going from weighing about 154 pounds to being my current weight of about 123 pounds, I'm also 5"3. How can I transition from this low calorie diet to a normal, healthy one without gaining lots of weight and undoing all my progress? I've also lost my period due to this, and haven't had it in about 4 months... Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

At 5'3" and 154 lbs, you were a bit overweight.  1800/2000 calories/day was probably too many calories for the amount of exercise you were getting.  It may not be the number of calories you're currently eating, but possibly the types of food you're eating that's not good for you.

You can transition back to higher calories, simply by adding a couple hundred calories/day, but you may have to increase the amount of exercise you do in order not to gain weight back.  It all depends on the types of food you're eating and when you're eating it.

You really need to calculate your own calorie needs, bases on your age, height, weight and activity level...not just pick some arbitrary number that sounds reasonable.  We can help you do that, if you like...

It's best to eat larger meals at breakfast and lunch and not so much in the evening.  Make sure you're eating plenty of healthful fats, such as avocados, olive and coconut oil, butter, etc to help keep you feeling fuller through the day.
