Breast feeding mom

I have a weight loss goal of 57lbs. Currently nursing my almost four month baby. I am watching my calories but I need to be aware that I'm still eating for two. Is there a way to set this app to consider the nursing into caloric intake?

Does anyone know of an app that incorporates nursing into a diet plan? I have read in some articles that breast milk takes between 500-800 calories to produce. I tried adding calories to my diet and gained 10 pounds in 12 days. That can't be right. So I cut back and am no stuck at 57 pounds over weight, according to this app I am burning far more then I take in and yet I can't loose. At all. What am I doing wrong! I'm about to give up if I can't win even a small battle!!!

When I was a nursing mom, guidelines suggested that nursing required about 500 additional calories per day.  Of course, guidelines change, but you should be able to find out a ball park to consider.  Hope this helps.  Congrats on your new baby :)

No, I don't believe there's a way to factor in the nursing aspect.

I have already ruled out any medical issues, and my doc has cleared me for vigorous work out if I so choose.
