Can't seem to get to my normal weight

I've been trying to diet and exercise and the pounds are not shedding.  In the past I have been able to lose weight when I wanted to, but for some reason now the fat is staying put.  I'm 129 pounds and 5'1.5", I feel a normal weight is at LEAST 10 pounds lighter.  I would be happy at 119 pounds.  I was up to 140 pounds last summer and somehow lost 11 pounds.  How do I lose the extra 10?  The one habit I can't seem to break is eating before bedtime.  My body can't sleep if I haven't eaten enough during the day and so I have to compensate with a meal before bedtime so I can sleep properly.  I exercise 5-7 days a week for at least one hour running or swimming, sometimes both adding up to 1 1/2 hours.  I feel so much better about myself when I'm skinnier; I think this stems from the fact that I used to be a dancer.  Any words of advice.  I feel like I've exhausted my resources and I'm out of ideas.  Do I just have to settle for the curves I've acquired?  I'm only 23 years old and my mom and sister are both skinny.  Why can't I lose weight?

The problem could be because of the times of your eating. If you're having to compensate for lack of eating during the day by having a meal at night, you can easily change this. Eat a bit bigger portions during the day, have a big breakfast and a lunch and eat at dinner. Don't try and not eat because you want to lose weight. Then, you may not feel the "need" to eat at night... Another thing is you may be accustomed to it and doing it out of habit as opposed to need, try one night to break the habit, and you may find it easier as you go..

Good luck!

Thanks for your input.  I've started to eat more during the day, and I have noticed that I don't need to eat at night.  So thanks for the advice.  It's working.

I had the same problem!  I needed to lose a few more pounds and literally got stuck!  I found a great detox diet that helped me to get over the hump.  It is really great because you don't have to starve yourself, you just eat specialized foods to help cleanse your system.  After doing the program for a week, I also had colon hydrotherapy to pull everything out of my colon that was undigested.  It was so much stuff that came out..now I go to the bathroom daily and have continued to lose the weight.  Maybe you should try this method.
