Hi, I have a serious tibial tendon issue for the past 5 years so can understand your question. I eat smaller portions and less carbs/junk food. I, too, gained about 25lbs since my injury ... it's not an easy one and I am not good with ideas . Maybe others will jump on the thread, too.

There are a lot of exercises you can do, even with ligament injuries; I suffered from one for many years before finally having surgery to correct it.
If you can let us know where the injury is, we might be able to suggest exercises you can do; but no matter what your physical abilities are, you can always do yoga. There are yoga exercises for all abilities, even those who are in wheelchairs. Yep, I just, today, received a DVD of Yoga for Seniors, and some of them are in wheelchairs.
Other than that, ChitChat is right - eat smaller portions, several times/day, limit the simple carbs/junk food and opt for high protein, high fiber and good fats, which tend to keep you feeling fuller longer....
i have ligament injury on my knee!!... right knee, acl and lcl tear!!.. :( .. can i get a glimpse on yoga exercise on internet?.. if can , can u share the link to me pls... and have been trying the small portion method!!. but not working miss... any other thing?.. can gv a small example on wat to eat huh?.. coz im a malaysian, its hard to find healthy food here!.. :(.. very sad bout it here.. most food contain maximum oil!... can u suggest some recipes if can?
You can do a search for clips on yoga. I put "yoga on youtube" into the search area of my browser and it brought up pages of videos. Some you can download, others you just do at your computer.
I also just purchased a dvd called "Yoga for Seniors". A lot of it is done sitting on a chair; it's all very low impact.
Be sure to get your doctor's blessing prior to starting an exercise program, as you may damage your knee, further.
tq very much miss barb135
