Sweetener is fine. I use it. I think the jury's still out on how healthy it is if consumed in large portions, however. So use it in moderation.
There is one stomach exercise that's very, very low intense that a friend taught me.
You lie flat on your back on the ground (on a mat or rug). Bend you knees with your feet flat on the ground. Then press your back to the ground as much as possible. (Usually when we lay on our backs, the curve of our back leaves a space between our back and the ground. You're going to get rid of the space.)
Once your back is pressed firmly down, slowly straighten your legs until that are as flat as the rest of your body.
I love this exercise, because there is no back strain.
Focus on pressing the back into the ground as much as possible and straightening the legs more strictly as you go.
Here are some standing ab workouts that look pretty good:

Thanks. You really mentioned stuff, i have issues with...water...i can never seem to be able to drink water, used to take a lot of pop but i recently stopped and trying now to drink water as a habit. And yes, i take a lot of sugar, but have recently turned to coffee whitener and would you recommend sweetener instead?
Aside from the walking, are there ant low intensity exercise that will help that you can recommend as well?
well I been having the same problem and you know what I have a hoola hoop..its fun and it flattens the tummy...and as I sit I tuist and turn..cause I have breathing problems too...but it do work..for me hope it works for you...
Try to give up as much sugar as you can without feeling deprived. Sugar and refined carbs can lead to belly bulges.
Also make sure you're drinking plenty of water. If you're substituting pop for water, the belly bulge may be water retention, possibly even bloating from gas.
A colon flush is a temporary solution and not necessary. You can keep your colon in good working order by eating foods high in fiber, whole grained breads, pasta, green vegetables, foods high in protein, etc.
Exercising can help with a lot of things. You can do stand-up stomach exercises that are very low intensity. Even walking would help, especially if the bulging is due to bloating or excess fecal matter in the colon. (Exercise tends to have a laxative effect. :) Trust me on this one.)
