Just an Update!! =]

Ok so as some of you know the past couple days have been pretty rough for me.. But today was AWESOME! I didn't get any sleep again last night, however, I haven't fallen asleep at all during the day today so I HOPE and think I will get a greats night sleep tonight and hopefully this will the start of a healthy sleeping pattern!

I have also taken the advice of weighing myself once a day, instead of a couple time through the day. SO much better. I can see the weight slowly going down a few ounces a day, however, today was almost a pound! I like this method MUCH better then the way I was doing it. I'm starting to feel SO much better about my new life style and now finally am starting to really believe in myself and know that I CAN do it and so can EVERYONE else here!!~

And as far as being sore after exercising, I looked up information about that as well and it said that when your muscles are sore that means your exercising is working and to keep it up, so instead of taking a break like I was, I got right back into the game, and did my normal exercises today and my muscles DO FEEL BETTER! Just working out again after a day of not doing it made them feel so good. I love it!!!

Something else I wanted to tell everyone about is this workout DVD my sister let me borrow.. It's AMAZING! It's the Dancing With the Stars Cardio Workout and let me tell you.. It works!! And so does The Firm workout DVD sets.. You really feel the "burn" with that one, lol! My mom bought the "Walk at Home" workout DVD today and I'm going to try that one too.. I will let you all know how that goes! Anyways! I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing.. Good luck with everything your all doing!!! And may we all reach our goals for Sunday's weigh in!!!! =]

The scale is not your friend.....don't rely on it to tell you how you are progressing - feel it in your clothes check yourself sans clothes in the mirror. Once a week is more than enough for a weigh in. Water weight gain is a big factor in the scale. Take it from someone who like you weighed once a day for 6 years straight while bodybuilding. It is an obsessive compulsive disorder, at least in my case it was. If you don't already have one get the scale that reads your BMI.
It sounds like you are well on your way to meeting your goals. Don't forget the diet aspect as well. It all intertwines.....diet cardio weights water mindset. Remember it isn't willpower it is mindset - hang something in front of you that you wish to wear upon meeting your goal - post pictures in places where only you can see them - or if your family is supportive - on the fridge! The positive pics not the negative ones.
You will meet your goal - you have the positive attitude going for you and that is trial #1!
Great fortunes to you,
Mushel

Oh, ValRiggs, I'm so happy to hear how upbeat you sound!  Yay!

Yes, sore muscles ROCK!  It means you are BUILDING muscle.  It means DON'T sit on the couch the next day.  BUT, if you work out a muscle group one day, it is a good idea to go easy on that one the next and work a different muscle group.  Like, if you work legs one day, work upper body the next.  Still walk those legs, just don't do a heavy work out.

I'm so glad you are making progress.  Thanks for sharing the good news!
