Late evening eating

My biggest challenge is ceasing to eat after 7:00pm. I eat very healthily throughout the day but, I tend to eat the worst later in the evening  and would lose weight much more easily if I could curb this horrible habit. I would love any suggestions or methods others may use that my help me . Thanks, Lisa

Drinking a glass of water before half an hour of taking meals will lessen the hunger. When hungry take a fistful of almond. Brain will receive a message that the nutrient is received and hunger will be assuaged to some extent.Pop corns are good for night time snacks reducing the hunger.

Same problem, my trick is to eat a large, protein full dinner around 6, and drink large amounts of water after when I'm wanting a snack. Also, if you are having bad cravings for unhealthy foods try to run or jog, if you enjoy it, or do something you like.

There's nothing cut in stone that says you can't eat after 7:00 PM, however, make sure you're making the best choices.  Instead of a dish of ice cream, try a fruit flavored yogurt.... instead of a candy bar, have an apple; eat air popped corn, etc.

I agree with taking up a hobby, to keep your hands/mind busy.  If you watch TV in the evening, there are a lot of things you can do while watching, such as knitting, working puzzles, etc.  Exercise during commercials, etc.

Whenever you get the urge to eat, do something else, such as take a walk, read a book (not one about food), etc. to distract you from food.

Hi Lisa,

The idea of eating a protein rich meal is a good one. If you want to have
something to eat after dinner, choose fruit cut up or veggies cut up
along with water. Hope this helps. Eve

Try and eat a protein rich meal for dinner, this will help you to feel fuller for longer. Maybe you could take up knitting for a hobby? This will keep your hands busy while watching tv. Or chew gum, this will help from putting food in your mouth too, and lots and lots of water.
