Muscle does not weigh more than fat......... a pound is a pound, whether it's fat, muscle, feathers or rocks........ A pound of muscle actually takes up less space than a pound of fat because muscle is denser (meaning it's more compact). You can compare fat and muscle, the same as feathers and rocks --- think how much "volume" you have in a whole pound of fluffy feathers, compared to the size of a one pound rock......
If you are doing a lot of exercise, it's possible that your muscles are bulking up, which will make them larger. Maybe you need to change the type of exercise you are doing?
I would suggest taking your measurements and checking them weekly or every couple of weeks. It's really hard to tell what's happening if you are only going by the way your clothes fit.
Sooo....I'm loading muscle but gaining weight? Like I loose 7 pounds of muscle but gained 3 pounds of fat? That *****. So it's like 1 pound of muscles is 1 pound of rocks, and 1 pound of fat is 1 pound if feathers. Okay, gottya!
Muscle weighs more than fat does. The caloric load used in metabolism that fat puts on the body is also less then muscle.
That has happened to me also; my biggest concern is losing my legs and my jeans are tighter around the calves and thighs. I would like to know how that's possible as well. I have lost 14lbs since Oct 1st but my legs are getting bigger.
