We know that losing weight during the Holiday season is difficult at best, so we’ve come up with a whole new concept this year.  Read on, to get into “Holiday mode” and see what’s planned.

With Thanksgiving, holiday parties, your favorite seasonal sweets or other “goodies” (including beverages), just around the corner, the average person gains five to ten pounds during the holiday season.

Don't join *that* group; join *our*   “MAINTAIN; DON'T GAIN” challenge, which we will run from Nov 22 – Dec 31. You'll get support, motivation, ideas and advice from other members, to keep your weight stable.

In addition, don't forget to check out the Healthy Cooking forum to add your own recipe for the "Healthy Holiday Recipes" slideshow.  There are already several posted to help you plan your Holiday menus, so look for the posts; and please do add your own "slimmed down" recipes.  For instructions on how to do this, go to:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Weight-Loss--Dieting/NEW------Healthy-Cooking-Slideshow/show/1392703  ;;

We encourage you to stay on track, by implementing our easy to use trackers.

Keep up with your weight with the Weight Tracker:

Document your meals, snacking and drink habits with our food diary:

Since adequate staying hydrated is so important to good health and losing weight, check out the Water Consumption Tracker:

The Exercise Tracker can help keep you moving and motivated to maintain your current weight:
http://www.medhelp.org/user_trackers/gallery/exercise  ;;

Our Mood Tracker can help identify those times when you are engaging in emotional eating:

Last, but not least, we all need an adequate amount of sleep in order to lose or maintain our weight and be healthy, happy and refreshed.  The Sleep Tracker can help you there.

Don’t forget that you can add notes to any of these trackers, so you can document whatever you’d like on them, and you can set them for only yourself to read, or others; it's your decision.  These notes might be able to serve as “reminders” that may help you stay on track.

To sign up, just look for the “MAINTAIN; DON'T GAIN Challenge Sign Up” post, or click on it here  http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Weight-Loss--Dieting/MAINTAIN-DONT-GAIN-CHALLENGE-SIGN-UP/show/1395582.

Copy the list and paste into a new post on that thread, then add your name to the bottom of the list.  Please do NOT “update” the list, we (CL’s) will do that, if it’s necessary.

Best of luck to everyone.
