Not loosing weight

Dear Member

Im regular to gym from past 1 month but dnt see much decrease in my weight,am also following diet plan given to me. However, im feeling physically active once i started doing work out. Just wanted to know the reason for negligible reduction in weight even after going to gym regularly.

Just to clarify - muscle isn't really "heavier" than fat...A pound is a pound, no matter what it's made of.... muscle is denser so a pound of muscle takes up less room than a pound of fat.  Compare muscle with a rock and fat, with feathers........ You can have a relatively small rock that weighs a pound because its molecules are packed so densely, but think how big that pound of feathers is going to be because of all the "fluff".

It's true that when you're exercising, you build muscle, so while you may not be losing weight, you should be losing inches.  You should measure yourself periodically to check your progress and not go completely by the scale.

Make sure you eat plenty of veggies, which are very low calorie, but fill you up and because they are broken down so slowly, they will keep you feeling fuller longer.

Avoid sodas and everything made with white sugar, flour and rice.  Opt for Stevia for a sweetener, whole grains and brown rice.

It's just been my experience that when I go to the gym and do both cardio and weights, i'll always maintain the weight (on the scale) and sometimes even gain. This is due to the fact that muscle is heavier than fat. So, often times I've stayed clear of the scale and just noticed how my clothes would get baggier etc....Keep it up, if you're working out regularly, and eating right, you will lose the weight!
Stay commited!
