Thinspiration, Pro Ana Sites - Am I already talking this diet too far?

I want to lose weight so I have started starving myself because I have seen my friends do this & it resulted in vast weight loss.
I have started looking for anorexic 'thinspiration' and tips used regularly by 'professional anorexics'. Am I taking my diet too far?
I know this sounds silly but I fear that it may trigger something for me.
I just want to be thin.

From your further description here, it sounds like you already are on the anorexia nervosa eating disorder pathway.

Feeling like circumstances are beyond your control, you have chosen something you feel you can control- your body.  This is part of the thinking that happens with an eating disorder.  Please seek professional help as soon as possible.

And know that God is in control, completely sovereign over every situation.  If you would like to know about the comfort of belonging to Him and knowing He is good all the time and will never fail, please private message me and I'd be glad to share more with you.

Thank you for the advice and your opinion in general. I just want to have control of something so I chose my body. The benefits of what I'm doing outweigh the disadvantages. I don't think I'll actually develop an eating disorder, I'll share the same traits as a professional anorexic.
It's just the start and starvation feels bad yet so good.
If I shrink down then there'll be less of me to notice.

I'm staying away from food & I'll only eat when I feel dizzy but I'll constantly consume water.

I don't think it's possible for me to develop an eating disorder - I'm headstrong.

I am losing weight because I need to.

Yes, it sounds like you are taking this too far.  The goal should be to be a healthy weight for your height and bone size.

Did you know that thin people when they are old tend to not do as well when they get certain illnesses as those with a little more meat on their bones?

Wanting to be at a healthy slender weight and physically fit for a young person are fine goals, but to starve oneself and use 'professional anorexics' as role models are not healthy steps to take.  Please see a nutritionist (you may need a referral from your doctor) to find out how to safely lose weight and what a safe weight goal for you would be.

Thanks for reaching out for help here and I hope will not go down the destructive path of an eating disorder that can kill.  If you feel you have underlying emotional issues leading you in this direction, now's the time to take the next step and get counselling professionally- if you are a Christian, from a Biblical counselor.
