Unwanted Weight Gain

Hello, I have been gaining weight at a rate of 2.5 pounds every month since September 2006.  I have gone from 145 (after having my daughter and working to lose weight) to 190 present day.  The obscene weight gain started when I began school again (full time) along with working (full time) and single motherhood.  I drink  ~80 oz. of water daily, I count calories, I work out (weights and aerobic/cardio) for an hour a day, I had a trainer, I have tried low carb, low fat and supplements.  Nothing has worked to stop or reverse the gain.  I have seen my generl practioner and had blood work done and everything came back normal.  I noticed stretch marks on my biceps two days ago.  I can not keep gaining like this.  Please help!

Thank you very much for the comments and advice!  I just wen tto the doctor today adn he did agree that there is something wrong with my inability to lose and the constant gain so he orderd some blood work again.  I am trying not to be OCD with things but I am frustrated!  :)  Once again, thank you.  I am trying to do things the natural way but I will look into the 5 htp.

Stress can hinder weight loss. Also I've found counting calories so diligently can be a detriment. I would stop counting calories and just try to eat healthy. You don't have to have 80 ounces of water a day either. I would try and get 32 ounces from water and the rest from everywhere else. Also, though this is the natural weight loss forum, I might look into taking 5 htp (natural appetite suppressant/mood booster) along with a  B vitamin supplement. If you try and lose weight too quickly, you usually just shut down you metabolism and after initial weight loss, you will start gaining. You need to find ways to relieve your stress and try and avoid being obsessive/compulsive about losing weight. Also, try varying your workouts and make sure you alternate between intensity training and endurance training. But I think the  main culprit is stress. 5 htp was a big help for me in that department. Also make sure you are getting at least 7 hours sleep a day.  Hope this helps a little.
