Thanks for the replays;) Zumba class today was great!!!
A pound is a pound, no matter what it is. Muscle doesn't really weigh more than fat; it's just more compact, so a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat.
Ditch the scales and go with the measurements, body decomposition will change with the exercise your doing and is more accurate than scales I think :-) the muscle gain will add weight but you will tone up.. Patience and determination is the key!!
When we start new workout routines, the muscles will initially hold into water because its under stress. It eventually releases it. Also, make sure you are eating enough
Thanks for the feed back. I'm 35 , 5'2 and weight 186. My daily routine is Zumba, bike 10miles , and walk on treadmill for about 15min. However, I didn't take measurements I will do that today and check back in a few days. Thanks again
You could be gaining weight from muscle, that is very possible. How often are you eating throughout the day? Where are the majority of the calories coming from? Fat, carbohydrates, protein? How tall are you, what's your weight, what's your age? These are all important. What kid of exercise are you doing?
It could be that you have put on muscle mass from working out, muscle weighs more than fat so that could be why you suddenly weigh 3lb more. Did you take base line body measurements? If so doing a comparison to them could tell you if you have lost weight/gained muscle.
