I've found that it's better to focus on exercising and trying to tone up the fatty areas; that seems to be working for me. A little bit anyway...
I think the main reason I can't seem to lose weight is that I'm not actually overweight. I'm well within the healthy BMI range but I have got bits of fat in unsightly places, and a larger belly than I would like.
Oh to have the flat belly I had at 16 :(
However my point is that when you're not overweight, you're body often wants to hold onto the weight that there is, so it will fight to keep it there and alas, without complete starvation, you can't really lose weight....
