What will work?

Okay so right now I weigh approximately 211, am 5'4 and 19 years old. I have tried dieting (1 year), exercising (2 years)(granted I still do exercise though it is limited cause of Asthma problems) drinking more water (still do), eating healthy foods (still do), you name it. But nothing seems to be working. I really would love to loose the weight that I have and get to a healthy size. Also my left side, just on my hip is twice as large as my right side.

And I know people say (your just un-proportionate!) but this is a huge difference in the size range, where it even shows through clothes (I have to get larger pants to make up for it)

I would appreciate your opinions on what I could do to get the weight off.

If you're consistently exercising eating right, I'd strongly suggest that you get your thyroid function tested.  Hypothyroidism (under active thyroid) is a # 1 cause for not being able to lose weight, in spite of everything you try.  I have the same trouble and I have hypothyroidism.  You need to ask your doctor test Free T3, Free T4 and TSH.  Don't let them get by with only testing TSH.

Another thing you should get tested is blood sugar/insulin.  Insulin resistance is another major weight loss problem, because insulin is a fat storage hormone.  I also have insulin resistance.

Consistency is the key....If you're like me when I was 19 I was pretty busy with life and having fun that I didn't focus 100% on getting and staying healthy...If you are limited to exercise then the mainffocus to loosing weight would have to be your diet...If you want to loose weight you can't consume more calories than you burn during the day...cut out fast foods and choose healthier fresh foods...and don't forget about the sodas...drink more water and green tea...start a food journal and prepare your meals ahead of time...i too have struggled with my weight for years and have finally found the right recipe for my life...you gotta make finding the right combination for your life a #1 priority and once you do there'll be no stopping you! Do your part and leave the rest up to God...He'll even help you in this area of your life!
