Good morning, everybody... sorry I haven't posted a weigh in thread the past couple weeks; things have been pretty hectic, but I hope I've got it all calmed down for now.
I've been doing really good with my weight... not so good with exercise, but watching the food. I didn't post a weigh in last week, but my weight was 155.4... this week it's 152.6, so I'll claim a loss of 2.8 lbs. As long as I maintain that, I'm headed in the right direction.
I did get a Fitbit around the middle of Sept. For those of you who aren't familiar with Fitbit, it's basically, a pedometer that measures your steps. I got the Fitbit Flex, that I wear on my wrist; it also measures sleep and tells me how many calories I've used throughout the day. The goal to aim for is 10,000 steps/day. I don't usually make the 10,000 steps/day, but a lot of days I get pretty close. The Fitbit syncs to a computer and updates periodically throughout the day, so long as the dongle is inserted into a USB port. It can also sync to some cellphones, but mine doesn't support it. A regular old pedometer can tell you how many steps you take each day, and I highly recommend using one, because it can be a real eye opener, by telling us how much we don't move around. I used to wear one all the time when I was working, but mine broke and I didn't go get another. Finally, I went and got one, but when I got it home, it didn't work, so I took it back and went for the Fitbit. The only thing I don't like about the Fitbit, is that, while it does measure every step, it doesn't measure the intensity of a work out. I'm still learning the finer points of it.
So --- how is everyone else doing? Hope you're all meeting your goals. If so, congratulations; if not, how can we help you?
Remember -- we win by losing -- weight.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week.
