If your food is not labeled, the best way to find the calorie count, is to google it. I've never encountered a food that I couldn't find on google. If you'll tell us what foods you're referring to, maybe we can help you.
Many foods in the "vegetable" category have so few calories that they are considered "free" and you don't even have to count them, as long as they aren't prepared with added fat like butter, oil or sauces. Fruits, on the other hand, typically, contain a lot of sugar, which raises their calorie count, considerably.
Studies are showing that some saturated fat is actually good for you, particularly, that found in coconut and coconut oil, as well as that found in red meats and dairy, as long as you don't go overboard.
Look on the packaging of the food you are eating, check the kcal for calories and saturated fats this should give you an idea, saturated fat content should be as low as possible, I count anything over 1 sat fat as too high and prefer 0.9 or less x
