maintain a healthy lifestyle while in a depressive state is very challenging, I know as I have struggled with it myself. One main symptom of depression is lack of energy/motivation and laziness. You really have to have the will power in order to having a healthy lifestyle as some days it can be hard just to get out of bed, let alone hit the gym. But the thing is, eating healthy and working out helps so much with your depression. I think the best place to start would be to slowly start cutting out/ limiting some of your unhealthy eating habits and create healthy ones, like trying to drink more water, eating as whole and natural as possible, and if you are on a busy schedule you could even meal prep to ensure that you are not eating out on the go. To start out I think starting with a gym might be a bit to dramatic so id say start working out at home first. You can look on YouTube or Pinterest and there are so many great at home workouts that are easy and take very little time, once you think you are ready ask a friend you join the gym with you, going your first time can be scary and having someone else with you at first makes the process less awkward. In terms of staying motivated there are so many great fitness girls on YouTube and Instagram that share there diet tips and workouts for free!! You should definitely look up something like that. And your goal is reachable as long as you are willing to put in the time and work. Trying to losse weight while having depression is extremely difficult. Last year I gained 35 pounds due to it, and after 8 months of hard work I have lost 45 pounds. It's not easy but it's incredibly worth it, although it will be very hard at first, ut gets easier and you will get better. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best with your weight loss journey!!

Don't let relationship issues affect your daily life and emotional well being. This allows that person to be in control of your life but remember, if he truly cared about you, he wouldn't care if you lost weight or not. You are you and your own well being is your motivation for working out and being fit, not him. Try to find an exercise that is enjoyable. Personally, running and coloring books relieve stress. Also, don't strive to lose weight, try to lose fat mass and gain muscle. Live happily because depression is an awful experience but motivation, character, and will will get you through this.
