whats wrong with me ugh!!!!????

Ok so heres the deal. Im a naturally skinny girl however in feb i remarried and since have gained 45 lbs!!!! My new hubby is a bigger guy who hates veggies and most fruits. This makes it difficult however i still try to eat healthy...i eat my veggies and whole grains. However the harder I try to lose litterally the more weight I gain. I hate it none of my clothes come close to fitting and I dread gping out in public. Can someone tell me something that has worked for them i need fresh ideas!!! Going from 120 to 165 in such a short period is devastating....i just dont know what to do anymore.

Good Morning,

Dont worry I am in somewhat of the same situation. However, I also would like to say that a friend once told me when you are happy and just enjoying life you may also tend to pick up weight. I know that when my husband and me are doing great and life seems perfect I tend to pick up some weight, because I am just enjoying life. Dont be harder on yourself nothing is wrong with you. We all just need to learn to discipline ourselves on healthy habits. Just remember NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU.

There could be something wrong with amoney2017 to gain that much weight in a short time... that's exactly what happened to me when my thyroid began to malfunction.  Though most people don't gain it as fast as I did, I gained 30 lbs in about 2 months.  I'd also had periods previously, where I'd gain 10-15 lbs for, seemingly, no reason, the after a few months or so, I'd lose them -- it wasn't because of such a great life... it was because I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and was cycling between hypothyroidism and hyper or normal thyroid function.

My doctors took those episodes as "nothing" too, however, I learned the hard way that whenever sudden weight changes happen like that, they should be considered abnormal until proven otherwise.
I agree but still no reason to be hard on herself. She may need to go to the doctor. No disagreement here.
I agree that there's no reason to be hard on herself, because health issues are not our own fault, but we should always see our doctor when there's any chance that something may be wrong.

You may be eating very unhealthy foods as well, because of what you see your husband eat. You say you still 'try' to eat healthy; does that mean you end up also eating a lot of unhealthy stuff? the little things can add up- that little butter, extra red meat, more processed food etc. One way would be to maintain a food diary and note every little thing that you eat - even a morsel. This will give u an idea of what you're eating overall, in a day. Do this for a week.

Since you're still newly married, it may take a while for you to get back to your own healthy habits, but like paxiled said, you need to go back there, hubby or no hubby :)

The first question is, you mention you're still eating your healthy foods but has your diet changed a lot?  If it has, then you need to go back to what you were doing before, hubby or no hubby.  Let him eat what he wants and you eat what you need.  If you've stopped exercising, then that's an issue.  If nothing has changed and you're still eating basically what you were before and exercising the same, then it might be something to check out with your doctor -- it could be thyroid or something else.
