why can't i maintain my weight?

About a month ago i lost around 7lbs. Now i've been trying to maintain my weight. I've been eating under 2000 calories and have been getting 2hrs of excercise (soccer) 5-6 times a week. I weighted myself, and i gained 2ish pounds. I've been getting this much excercise for 2 weeks so far. Why am i gaining weight??
(I eat really healthy too.)

Just a thought -- BTW - hypothyroidism doesn't care about your age, athletic ability or how healthy you are.  I've known many very young children to have it.  Best of luck.

i looked up hypothyriodism, and i don't think that's the cause. I'm only 16, and an athlete. But thank you!

You might need to have your thyroid tested to make sure you aren't hypothyroid, which can cause weight gain.

the number keeps going slightly going up. Maybe it is water retention, but with all the sports, i drink more fluids than i usually do. I went to a nutritionist awhile ago, and she did the BMI test which told me how much muscle, fat, water etc. i have. i need about 1500 calories if i sleep all day, 2100 calories doing normal everyday activities, and more if i do excercise (which ive been doing a lot of). i don't understand why i'm gaining..

If you'd gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks, I'd tell you get tested for hypothyroidism, or some other medical issues; but gaining just "2ish" pounds is pretty difficult, because it's really just a fluctuation, not really a true "gain" -- my weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds in a 24 hr period.  

Are you weighing at the same every day, after going to the  bathroom and before eating/drinking?  Maybe 2000 calories is too much for you.  Maybe the "2ish" pounds, is fluid retention, not fat?
