Looking for help.

First let me say I really enjoy this forum. Everyone seems so nice and eager to lend some advise.  I am looking for someone who might have had some of the same symptoms I am experiencing.
A couple of months ago I had a serious bout with vomiting and pain in my abdomen. My white blood count was up so my doctor thought maybe I was having appendicitis. I had an MRI with dye, all looked normal. I then suffered from diarea for several weeks afterwards. I am now having pain in my abdomen on the right side underneath my rib. I can feel a tingling sensation in the same area. I have lost my appetite, and have a feeling of fullness all of the time. If I eat the pressure in my stomach is so strong that it hurts to breath. The top of my stomach stays bloated. I also feel like the whole digestive process has slowed down considerably.  I am going to return to the doctor again.  It is frustrating to not have the answers. I feel if there was anything seriously wrong it would have showed on the MRI earlier. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks for any responses in advance. Take care all and God Bless. :)

no blood tests back yet!  Upper GI found a hiatal hernia, doesnt cause the liver enzymes to be abnormal!  Will post when they find something good...lol  It seems you never end up hearing what everyone has on these boards???

I had the very same symptoms as you in the beginning of my illness in October.  I was very sick. I then found a family dr. to take me in.  I just knew this was a horrible flu.  I also had my gallbladder removed in 97'...I almost always have bouts of diarrhea then constipation.  It has recently interfered with my job. Anyways, following this illness my new dr. did do blood work...my liver enzymes are elevated, my children also have elevated enzymes.  it was slowly going down.  I returned to the dr. this month because the fatigue is killing me ( I have 3 little ones to run after), heartburn, headaches, irritable bowel symptoms. Again my liver enzymes were not down. He sent me for more extensive blood work to check copper, iron, cholestrol and  an autoimmune disease.   i am just to the point where I hope one comes back positive so I can get some energy, hopefully?? Tied of being a pin cushion.  I have always blamed everything on my gallbladder removal but I dont think thats now. I just had a Upper GI this am...God Bless

Thank you so much for your return comment. I hope everything went well with your test this AM. Please let me know how it turns out. I too have 3 children all teenagers.
Do you feel the tingling sensation under your rib? And have you had pain in your back directly behind the pain in your stomach?
I agree with you about letting them find something wrong just so you can get some relief, I too feel the same way.
Take Care.

I do have pain in stomach and back but... i have a herniated disk also and i have recently had a depo-medrol (steroid) injection x2 that has taken the stomach and back pains away  :o)  Now I have gained about 20lbs through all of this....go figure was it the steriod or illness?? I am pretty much pain free there right now! Not fun I know!  Hang in there, in time with Drs help they will figure out whats going on.
