Please comments on stomach

Hi everyone,
I am a 28 year old male non smoker moderate drinker and fit.
My problems started 2 months ago  with feeling sick ( but not being sick )and excess burping. Went to see my GP who gave me prevacid and tested for Heli bacteria which was neg, I think I had some side effects from tablets ( light headed, rapid heart beat ) so I stopped taking them and got some zantac which seem ok. I also get heartburn, pressure tightness in chest some dull upper stomach pain and sometimes a bit of loose stool. Had liver and kidney function blood tests which were ok.

Something else which is strange, when I am sitting and bend over it feels as if my upper stomach abs are squashing together and it is uncomfortable. I have racked my brain to try to work out what is wrong and the only thing I can come up with is this:

I like to workout at the gym alot doing lots of sit ups and stomach work and on one occassion around about when my symptoms started I was doing some sit ups when all of a sudden it felt almost asif my muscels had overlapped so I stopped.

I am due back at my GP on tuesday, could someone please sugguest what next as he is a bit puzzled, maybe upper GI?

Could I please have some commments as I tend to be a worrier about things like this. (sorry its so long)

If you take a look at this page:
<h4><a href=http://www.curezone.com/forums/forum.asp?ForumID=73>LiverCleanse FAQ</a></h4>
You will find many stories from people who experienced those symptoms.

These are the symptoms of intrahepatic stones, stones inside liver bile ducts.

There is a maze of bile ducts inside liver.

Stones inside can be up to 3 cm across.
There could be thousands od stones inside liver. It is suggested that the only real cure is liver cleanse. You can read a lot about liver cleanse on that web site ...

You can read hundreds of stories on that web site ...

Good luck

Hi
I suffer from HH and passed an endoscopy 2 years ago.
I suggest you skip the barium swallow x-ray. It is very unpleasant (terrible taste !), and makes you bloat like a balloon. What's more - if the barium swallow shows HH & GERD your GP will send you to an endoscopy ANYWAY, to evaluate damage to the stomach or esophagus...
My suggestion: don't fear this test. INSIST that they give you a sedation. You won't remember anything afterwards (I didn't...).
Hope you'll feel better.
Alon.

Hi reb thanks for taking the time to write that long post it makes me feel better when someone takes the time to offer advice. I will be so glad when I have this endoscopy test done so I can find out whats wrong, I'm sure you know how bad it is when you havent been diagnosed.

Any info on hiatas hernias much appreciated.

Hiya, thanks for your reply!
No, I haven't had an endoscopy before, but I have spoken to a (US) doctor who says he "can't imagine" that a doctor anywhere (even in the UK!) would do an endoscopy without a "sedative". It isn't an anaesthetic, so you don't stop breathing, but it just makes you really dopey so you don't really care what is going on around you anymore...(you are "awake" still, but may not remember things when you

Thanks reb!

I have been refered to the hospital for endoscope which I am told will take about 6 weeks, what problems are you having and have you had this test done before?

My doctor thinks there isn't much wrong but it must be something.

Did you go for your endoscope yet?
Did it sort things out?
Did they sedate you for it?
I may need an endoscope (I am in the UK) but I was thinking of going to back to the US as I am frightened that it will hurt! Is that warranted?
hope you are getting better.

Fellbetter, thanks for the reassurance it's just over here in the uk they don't like to sedate you unless you really need it. If you don't mind me asking what did you have the test for?

If the Hiatas hernia is confirmed does it self repair to a certain degree and will I need to take zantac( what I am using) indefinately?

Hi. Don't be afraid of the endoscope. I was TERRIFIED and put it off for a year. (I couldn't bear the thought of a tube being put down my throat!) But it was the easiest test I have had so far. I did not feel or remember a thing and just needed a nice long nap afterwards. Best wishes and I hope they can fix what ails you.

MAYBE HE WILL TALK TO YOU ABOUT AN EGD. IT IS A SCOPE THAT IS SENT DOWN YOUR THROAT TO SEE THE ESOPHAGUS AND STOMACH. MAYBE HE WILL DO THAT. OR SOMETHING ELSE. I AM NOT SURE. I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER.
