bleeding inbetween periods

SDH
I am a 22 year old female.  In pretty good health.  I have been bleeding inbetween periods for about 8 months now.  It's only a little for about 2-3 days.  It occurs about 15 days after the first day of my period.  It may be when I'm ovulating.  I am not sexually active.  Is it something serious?  I'd appreciate any comments.  Thanks!

I believe you want the gynecological (reproductive) forum.  This forum deals with digestive disorders.  Are you on any birth control pills?  If not you may want to see your gynecologist and explain what is going on.  Sometimes being on the pill may cause break thru bleeding, especially if you miss a few pills.  Make an appointment and see your doctor.  Sorry I could not be of help.

You could have a fibroid.  Which is a non-cancerous growth in the uterus.  It causes bleeding in between periods and usually heavy bleeding when on your period.  If it causes no pain and not intense bleeding they will leave it.  I had huge losses of blood with mine and eventually had a hysterectomy.  See your Dr.

I do have the wrong forum, sorry.  I am not on birth control though.  I'll look up fibroid and see my gynecologist.  Thanks so much for your input.
