stomach cramps

For the past 24 hours I have been suffering from severe stomach cramps.  They last anywere from :06 to :10 and double me over.
They seem to come every 10 min. or so.  I am not nauseous or hungry and there is no sign of intestinal problems, just severe cramps.  Could this be food poisoning? An ulcer? Sign of a blockage of some sort?  Please advise.

i get serious cramps after and during anytime i go running, I also have the urge to go to the bathroom immediately when these crmaps come on. I also tend to get gas the most when i eat cheese, chocolate, soy-based items( meatless burgers and chicken) and sometimes alcohol. The cramps are often the worse when i have my period. What is wrong with me?

It sounds like diverticulitus to me. I've had 2 attacks in the last 7 years that sound like that and that is what I was diagnosed with. They have a number of meds you can try...levisan works for me to stop the spasms.

you need to go to the doctor, your symptoms could be anything from bad food to the flu or some other gastro problem.the discription leaves the door open to many things so the best thing to do is consult your doctor to make sure it is not something more serious not to mention get something for your cramps because no doubt they are quite painful .good luck

i just had colon surgery for severe and exstensive diverticulitis and they removed the damaged area and the fact is you can have spells of stomach cramps but it is normaly acompanied by other symptoms such as infection ,fever, constant upset stomach ,aching and dull pain in the far right or left lower pelvic area, constanr constipation or loose stool then they have they have cases to where there is no symptoms at all .tthe best thing you can do is see a gastro and digestive specialest this way you are sure as to what you are dealing with .also if you have a concern that it is diverticulitis have your specialest to do a colonoscopy this test has been very efective on diagnosing gastro problems believe me i have been there and they will do a million test when sometimes the one i just mentioned does the tell all.good luck
