stomach problems

For the past year i have been dealing with on and off stomach problems. It started with getting sick in the middle of the night after drinking beer. So sick i thought it was food poisoning. That happen the next time i drank(2drinks) also. So i stopped drinking. What has been happening sence then is out of no where i feel weak for a day. Almost like i am getting the flu and then i have mild pain in my upper abdomen and my stomach feels like it is burning with acid. I dont have heart burn it is just in my abdomen. This lasts for about two week and it slowly goes away. Then i will be ok for a few weeks and that out of no where, bang. I cant find any link between food and the problems.I have been taking acid blockers and i have been scoped, had a ct scan done and a ultra sound. Of course nothing was found. I have been dealing with my family doctor up until now. could you give my some ideas.
thanks

The negative CT scan and ultrasound would make gallbladder or liver disease less likely.

The upper endoscopy can exclude GERD, ulcers, and inflammation.

You can consider more specialized tests.  This can include a 24-hr pH study to evaluate for GERD, as well as a gastric emptying scan to exclude gastroparesis.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician, or in conjunction with a GI specialist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

I have IBS and for the past month or so my stomach has been really acting up a lot. I have constant gurgling and bubbling in my stomach.  It gets worse when i lay down, i can feel the bubbles or air in my stomach and it sounds like watery and air moving around in my stomach.  then if ive been laying down or sleeping for a while, when i first get up, the gurgling acts up.  The gurgling subsides a bit when i sit normally but i can never just lay down and relax when my stomach is acting up when i do lay down. Any suggestions?
