American Bulldog severe itching

I have just adopted a pure bred American Bulldog 8 months old. He is mostly white. We have had him for about 2 weeks, when we first got him he was perfectly fine but then abour 3 days after he began itching his face and under his legs constantly and so bad that he is making his whisker area on his face bleed. I have read alot and seem to be leaning towards the new food we have given him even though it is Hollistic and All Natural (Grain and corn free). We were unable to find out what kind of food we was on previous to our ownership. Please help what I can do and what is the best food to buy him to help solve thi issue? I have heard Innova and Taste of the Wild and Roayl Canin Science Diet. Please help what are your recommendations?

I would try a raw diet if you can afford it.
This would take all byproducts out of his meals.

We have a Great Dane that is on raw and he does amazing.

If you want to stick to kibble look at the formula he's on now. Is it chicken and rice or? Try using something that is like lamb or fish.

natures choice or blue buffalo there's a few others , I go with blue wilderness LG breed for the protein but they're the best foods, DONT GIVE him royal canin they claim to be healthy but read the ingredients on the bag full of by products and chemically enhanced vitamins. though I don't think that's gonna solve your issue ... what's your yard like ?
