Anxiety in dogs with Cushings Disease

We suspect our 14 year old mixed breed dog has Cushings Disease. He also has a moderate to severe anxiety problem (whining a lot, licking obsessively, can't settle down, etc) that our vet says may be related to the Cushings. Any thoughts on this from anyone? He also has the other obvious Cushings symptoms, panting all the time, drinking lots of water, pot belly, etc. He takes doggy Prozac but it really hasn't helped with the anxiety.

Our beagle was diagnosed with Cushings disease 5 years ago.  We have a great vet who has put him on a regimen of melatonin and a spruce tree extract that we buy online.  Total costing around $12 a month.  Immediately the swollen belly went down and he has been fine since!  We give him these twice a day.  If he misses a dose, he’s anxious and panting so we try to be very good about it.  It’s worth a shot!  Let me know if anyone is interested in more information.

Yes, I'm interested in more info about the melatonin and spruce tree extract. Are these both over the counter or is the melatonin just for pups? Thank you.

Hi  It sure sounds like Cushings to me. Did u take your dog to a vet for testing Yet?
I have a suggestion. Go to my Journal & my Posts & read them. There is so much that I wrote that will help you.. Read all that I have written about my Julie on Cushings.
This has to be rough on YOU too & your dog. Was your dog always anxious?
