I'm glad there was nothing really wrong. I guess pups have little ups-and-downs, without having to be ill, much like any of us sometimes.
Well, the good news is she just had a little last night and first thing this morning but I noticed her go this afternoon and it was a well formed poop! Yea! :-)
Fuss pot I am, lol.
You might be accused of being a fuss-pot, but if it were me, and as she is a very young pup, if the diarrhea has gone on all day, or for quite a while, it may be best to take her to the vet. I am sure this isn't anything to worry about, especially as she is acting happy and well, but be on the safe side.
It looks like it's the little brown one. We took them out to play in the living room and the brown one had a little diarrhea on the paper out there. She is still playing and acting fine. Should I wait and watch or take her to the vet?
Ginger took the words right out of my mouth.
I don't suppose you could make 2 temporary separate beds for the pups, to be sure which one it is that has the tummy problem?
The thing with young pups and diarrhea is dehydration.Wait a short while, maybe till morning, and make sure he has plenty to drink. If there is still a problem a few hours later, say, next day, you could get puppy and poo sample examined, to see if there's any infection?
Most likely it's just an upset tummy, which happens, for the reasons Melissa said
I am not really sure but just like babies their little systems are getting used to the food and environment. And, they can definitely sense when you or your kids are upset about something. So, give it a day or two and see how they are. Also, you can give them immodium if it keeps up. Just call the vet or look online to see how much you can give them. A lady that I clean for who does not use any prescribed meds or even otc meds for herself or the dog, unless absolutely needed, uses this to help them when they get a tummy ache.
