Also I know that bulldogs are *very* expensive (running $2000 - $3000 here). I would also contact the breeder and let them know that there is a serious defect with your dog. Not only do they owe you some of your money back they also need to not breed the parents again.
I know this doesn't help YOUR situation but you can help prevent other pet owners from going through it.
