Dog "Cherry Eye"

My 7 month old English Bull Dog has "Cherry Eye".
My vet will not remove the whole "Cherry" but will remove half and attach the other half. He did inform me that it's not his practice to completely remove, even though some vets do. What is your suggestion?

I have an eight year old Maltese-Shitzu with cherry eye in both eyes. We can control the flare ups with a steroid called Maxitrol.

I had an English Bulldog that had cherry eye at about the same age. My vet 'tucked' it and we had no further problems.  It's my understanding that they do not like to remove it if at all possible because it can lead to dry eye problems later in life.

I hope your pup does great. Please let us know!
