I never dud photos so don't ask me!!
Yes, good site with tons of information. Learn a lot from other's experiences.
Actually used to order my Grey's coats from someone on there.
Hi. Yeah, I joined earlier. It's a bit of a clunky site - hard to work out how to do certain things (upload photos, for one, which I've tried but it didn't work). Ha. Maybe it's me. But yeah, there's a good mix of topics there, so I'll probably check it out fairly often.
It is probably the best Grey site. Covers all kinds of issues. You should join.
I used to be pretty active when we had our Grey and did rescue.
Hi Margot. No I hadn't heard of that one ... I'll check it out. Thanks.
That's great.
Do you know about the web site, GreyTalk.com? You should check it out
Hi. I've never had a true greyhound before, but have had several rescued lurchers, and they don't seem to suffer from it - or not in my experience at least. Sally the 4 yr old Greyhound came from a greyhound rescue centre. Typically, she was discarded after 3 years of racing (so, not earning money for the owners anymore). We've had her exactly one year and we've tried a few things to rectify the bald patches, but nothing worked. The coconut oil was something I read about on one of the doggy herbalist sites - so I ordered some and tried it and was absolutely amazed at the results. I am now applying it on the other patches she has and I'm hoping for a similar response. Tony
That's interesting, never tried it. Maybe you hit on something.
You do know that the lack or loss of hair in those areas are common in Grey's. How long have you had yours? Ours came to us that way, as many rescues do, but usually with good diet and better living conditions, the hair usually fills back in. Our Grey always had a pretty bald chest.
