How do you deal with a female dog in heat?
When my female dog goes into heat, how should I deal with it?
I obviously have to keep her away from males, but do you cover a female with a "doggy diaper" or is that not necessary?

yeah i got 2 lil dogs that r in heat right now im about to go crazy cuz everytime i turn around my dog is humping my stepmoms dog and they both is girls i never knew a girl dog would try and hump another dog lyk that one time she tried to humped my boyfriends arm my dog she is nuts lol
Depends on the dog...I've had a female dog that went into her first heat before we spayed her and she was never a bleeder, but then we had a foster pup who bled like crazy with every heat and she would cover the floor (and just about everything) with streaks and spots of blood....so it depends on if the dog is a bleeder when she's in heat or not whether she needs a doggy diaper or not.
