Is their any organization that will help with a vet bill or procedure?

My 4 yr old Coonhound somehow twisted her back leg and it is swollen ...what would be her ankle and knee at first she was just favoring it a little over the last week it has gotten to where she cant put weight on it.  She wont stay still  and is in pain but wants to play..she is in a lot of pain The vet assistant told me surgery would be over $1000 ...I am on a fixed income and dont want my dog to suffer

As it was just over a year ago, I hope the information is still current. But it's worth taking a look
