My Dalmatian has a hard Stomach and high white blood count

My Dalmatian has a rock hard stomach and  wont eat. She under a veterinary's care however, he has not come up with what is wrong yet. Oreo has a very high white blood count, low red blood count, her body temp is normal. She will not eat 4 days  now however she drinks a lot. She is not in pain, seems to be sluggish but in good spirits. She wags her tail even when I just look at her. She is alert, when I call her she will get up and come right over to me wagging her tail. When I press on her stomach to check on her, she does not seem to be in  any sharp pain. However, she does seem to get uncomfortable and parts of her hind legs twitch. X-rays did not show anything abnormal to the vet and there was a blood in the stool which she is on meds for. ANY ANSWERS OUT THERE. PLEASE

Have you gotten a diagnosis for your Dalmation?  If so, please let me know what it is and how to cure it.  My lab is having the same symptoms and we do not know what is going on.  She has been hospitalized, and it looks like she will have to go back in again.

i cant give you advice on what is wrong with her, but if shes not eating, and is drinking, give her full cream cows  milk, that will keep her strong and healthy.

A high white blood cell count most likely signifies some kind of infection. If your vet cannot suggest anything, or some course of treatment, you might think of getting a second opinion. It's strange that a course of antibiotics wasn't suggested. I can understand if the vet isn't yet sure what kind of infection may be going on, but it might be worth trying an antibiotic anyway at this stage, before further diagnostic procedures.
I'm sorry because I can't think immediately what this could be.
You could try asking one of the vets here? (At the top of the page under the big banner ad, hover on "Pets" (next to "my medhelp") then click on "Ask a Veterinarian"

Would you also describe her stomach as feeling tight? When I read this the first thing that popped into my head was bloat. Bloat in dogs can be very serious but immediate medical attention can get her well on her way to getting better.
