Mast Cell Tumor in Boxer not Healing

Hello:  13-days ago my year old boxer had a couple mast cell tumors removed.  2 have healed up greatly and, 1 is on the verge of being healed but we have 1 on her thigh of her hing-leg that is not healing.   The vet elected to re-stich it which meant surgery again 4-days ago now.  Today he elected to remove the stich/stint completely has the wound had reopened.   The wound is about 2-3 inches long and 1 inch wide and is left to be bandaged and heal on it's own.  My dog is on antibiotics and today the vet recommended he keep her during the day to monitor and change/clean the antibiotics because I am missing so much work.  I am thankful for the help - but concerned about the long term healing.  Any word of encouragement?    Just look for some advice.

I will note I called 2 different vets today to see if this was "normal' and they confirmed it is not abnormal healing process.

Sorry you've had no sharing.. .. these things are very individual (applied to dogs here) so what one sees another will find a very different experience.  You seem to have done all that can be and the prognosis sounds optimistic.

If you're still checking, please let us know what you have learned in the last 3 days.

Wishing the best/.
