Pacreatitis recovery

Pancreatitis recovery
My shih tzu was diagnosed with pancreatitis a month ago. She is 2yrs old. She only vomitted once and loose stool and lipase elevatef to 2600. Amylase was below normal. She is on Crean10000 every after meals. May I know how do i know if my baby is fully recovered. Is taking Creon a guarantee for me that her lipase and pancreas are safe now? She is on lowfat prescription diet. Thanks!

If she's on Creon, then that is a pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy. I don't know for sure, but it may be that she will need to stay on it. That all depends on what is wrong with her pancreas.
If she is unable to produce that enzyme naturally, and that is a long-term thing, then I suppose she will need to stay on it.

But please consult your vet. It is perfectly rational to keep in touch with the vet when a dog is on ANY treatment, if you have any concerns or questions.

Also, I sent you a private message just now.
