Cerenia comes in pill form, also.....Packs of 4 pills, depending on size........
I have read that cerenia is expensive but daisy needed it 5 times in her last minth and I think they were each like $12. We also chose to give them to her at home but she was comfortable with needles.
You didn't say how old your dog is - if old that could be the driving problem.
I hope if you call your vet they will consider taking payments - you need to have a reason you can't put it on a charge card, vets can't stay in business if they don't usually get their "normal" fee. A charge would cost some interest but the dog depends on you.
For sure take care that all pets are protected from hazardous material they might eat.
Agree, probably should call the Vet. Ask them what they charge. All Vets differ, ESP depending on the area. See if they will take payments or Care Credit
Would they charge too much for injecting? I'm under a budget right now
I wouldn't want to drink or eat either if all I did was throw up for 24-hours. The vet might be able to give her an injection for the nausea.
No diarrhea was drinking water but stopped and hasn't wanted to eat
You need to take your dog to the vet. If it's been 24-hours since he has had food/water then there could be a serious issue. My dog who suffered from kidney failure started throwing up the clear liquid with white bile at the end of her fight :( Don't wait any longer!
You didn't answer Jerry's questions which might help.
If he is getting worse and ESP if not drinking, you need to see your Vet.
Any diarrhea?
Any chance he ate something toxic or has in jested something that might be stuck?
There is no easy answer, but the correct answer is get him into a vet, and soon.
You need to think about a number of things that could cause a probelm:
1) how old
2) what else is wrong/symptoms
3) how long has the not eating been going on
4) did the throwing up proceed not eating, sounds like that is not the case as you describe "clear with white".
5) has the dog been given protective care, such as tick/worm (FrontLine and Heart Guard come to mind)
Dogs require a healthy diet and medical attention to be healthy and to live a full life.
