Sorry for calling your response hostile.
"Hostile" is alittle unfair, don't you think? In your OP, you never mentioned seeking treatment for her...Never indicated that would be a possiblity or that you had already called the Vet....
You have NO idea how many posts we get daily on a life/death situation that the poster says as you did, "What's wrong? or What should I do? or I have no money, Can I treat this at home?"
You never lead me to believe that your post was any different......
My only concern here is to help the animals. Period! I don't intend to offend anyone, but I too, feel you jumped the gun with your response......
I will add, that I'm glad she's doing better...I mean that! Karla
Yea I was very worried for her. I love her to death. I have 2 dachshunds right now a black and creme long hair female and a black and tan short hair male. The puppies were an accident and i'm getting her fixed as soon as its safe too. The puppies are already going to great homes. I made sure that their going to be taken care off cause I love dachshunds more then anything and I know how much they need human affection. Thanks for the response guys and @misfits4me their was no reason to act hostile towards me I love my dogs more then life itself and I would rather die then have something happen to them. I called the vet as soon as I noticed that she was not acting right and she told me to give her half a Benadryl for the sneezing and itching. After about 30 minutes she stopped breathing hard and the sneezing and itching went away but her arms were still shaking. Thats why I wrote this post and sought out expert advice on her symptoms. But before any of you could respond I already rushed her to the emergency animal hospital. She's doing great right now running around and she seems like her old self. Once again thanks guys I appreciate your responses. Take care.
I am so glad your dog is ok. Great news! Thanks for letting us all know.
That was the first thing I was worried about: the calcium level. I'm glad you took her to the vet asap; you could have lost her!
I took her to the vet before any of you answered. She didn't have enough calcium in her system. They IV'd her on calcium for an hour then monitored her. She's fine now.
Your kidding? Your dog is in Serious Condition! Thus, these puppies that you wanted for whatever reason, are NOT going to have a mother if you don't seek medical treatment for her, NOW!
I hope she makes it.....It's not fair to her to wait and wonder what's wrong.....Get her to the Emergency Clinic while you still have time......Karla
Only a vet can tell you. Please do get her to a vet as soon as you can.
