i have a pom(6lbs), peekapom(16LBS) and a Lab(35 LBS) that sleep in our king size at night, the lab is only 5 months, so i m sure he was be doubble or tripple that size, soon, but my husband goes out of town weeks at a time, and we live out in the middle of no where so i wouldnt like it if they didnt sleep with us
Yes my 110lbs lab sleeps with me and my husband, we have queen size bed, and it is a lttle snug, but we would not have any way, Abbey, does not like sleeping alone, especially now we lost our 12 year old pitbull.
My Irish Setters have always slept with us. If we get another, my hubby will have to move to the couch, lol! Sometimes we get pushed nearly off the bed during the night, but I wouldn't be able to sleep without then there.

Didn't before my (former) dachshund got sick with diabetes. Then *all* of them got to hang out in mommy's room. Now every one of them sleeps on the bed and will sit and cry if they aren't on the bed with me. It's a queen size bed and there isn't much room even with two dachshunds and a beagle. Funny thing is the 6lb dachshund puppy takes up the most room. :-)
Our hound likes our bed, especially during the day, but she usually disappears and goes to the spare room bed once my hubby and I are both in it (but she stays if it's just one of us). Our Lab hardly ever is on a people bed, but we put a loveseat at the foot of our bed and he is almost always on there at night. He likes his dog bed too.
Here's an idea for those of you who want to get the dogs out of your bed, especially if they like to snuggle with the blanket. My hubby had a Dalmatian when we met & she slept with him under the covers. She would "nest"- scratch the covers around until it was just right. She ruined blankets & sheets over time, and once I was around she often ended up with her rear end on my pillow which I didn't care for. I put a stop to it as soon as I could, being the mean step-momma that I am (wink!). I bought her a nice heavy duty horse blanket that she couldn't tear up, snipped off all the straps and buckles, and tucked her in on her dog bed. It only took a few weeks of that and she never tried to get in our bed again, she only wanted HER bed and HER blanket. If we weren't around to do it or she got up in the night, she would nose that blanket and flip it over herself to tuck herself back in. Didn't matter if it was hot and humid... she loved it.
I used to let my 3 sleep with us. But, with the combo of me waking up with back pain and all of the sudden they think they are the pack leaders, that has since stopped. They sleep on the floor like dogs should (at least mine!) My boys got into a fight becasue they were confused who the leader was, so we re-training them so they know we are the leaders!!! Not the dogs! But if I had my way and was single, I would probably have them under the covers with me!!
