Rabies Scare

Hi,
My dog was diagnosed with leukaemia and was terribly unwell. She passed away a day after biting me on the hand. The wound bled. However, we did not give her her last rabies shot, because she fell sick, and the vet advised us not the go for the rabies shot.

I have received my injections for the rabies. Nevertheless, I am still worried about contracting it and associate any random symptom to rabies. I would be grateful for any kind of help to easy my mind.

Thank you,

I received my anti-rabies shots post the bite as a precautionary measure. Nevertheless, it seems incredibly hard to overcome the worry of contracting rabies.
I think my fear is irrational, but i thought i'd seek some help and support.

Sorry for your loss.

I assume the dig was under Vet care and assume your Vet would have suspected or diagnosed rabies.
Yes, it would have had to have been bitten by a rabid animal.

Why did you receive rabies injections?  I am confused.

You should contact your Vet and doctor to help ease your concerns.

First of all, I'm so for your loss.

So anyway, someone told me that a dog could only have a rabies if it was bitten by a rabid animal. So, I think, there's no need for you to worry if your dog wasn't bitten.
